This convenient manual punch creates a semi-circle thumbcut notch along the bound edge of a hanging calendar to accommodate the v-shaped center of a wire calendar hanger and allow the facing sheet to be flipped to face the back side as months change.

Works but cheaply made

I bought this to punch holes for some photographic calendars that I was making. I guess I was expecting a bit better product, but it does function. To start with, the paper width guide bar slides into the plastic cover you remove to empty the paper punches, so if you get it all lined up and have to empty the paper punches, then you will have to realign. Second, the guide bar has no markings, so you can't figure out where your punch is going to be relative to the edge of your paper. You end up doing this by trial and error. Finally, the product has no manufacturing marks at all (nothing that says Akiles) - almost feels like a counterfeit.
